About me
Becoming a mum was a turning point.
In the midst of caring for a little one, I began asking deeper questions: Who am I, really? What do I need to feel like myself? Patterns I had carried for years came into focus — intensity, sensitivity, restlessness, and a constant search for meaning. When I discovered the world of adult giftedness, things began to fall into place.
At first, I was not sure the label fit. Many of the common stereotypes around giftedness did not apply to me. Yes, I was the best in class in primary school and did well in my A-levels, but I gradually lost interest in school itself. I found real excitement and challenge outside the classroom — through hobbies, part-time work, and international experiences. I have always had a few close friendships rather than large social groups, and while I enjoy meaningful connection, I have never felt fully at ease in crowds. What has been constant is a drive for learning, adventure, and depth.
At times, that journey felt scattered or unconventional. But once I began to understand giftedness — not just as a cognitive trait but as a whole way of being — all the pieces started falling into place. What once seemed like restlessness or self-doubt revealed itself as a deep need for authenticity, purpose, and complexity.
I was born in Germany and have spent much of my life living, studying, and working abroad — in Argentina, Ecuador, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, and now the Netherlands. These experiences shaped not only my worldview but also gave me a strong sense of intercultural sensitivity and empathy for people navigating different systems or identities.
Feeling “different” — even in familiar environments — has helped me connect with those who do not easily fit into standard boxes. I speak German, Dutch, English, and Spanish, and bring a global, inclusive perspective to my work.
Professionally, I have worked as a development advisor, marketeer, university lecturer & researcher, curriculum designer, and facilitator. Now, as a certified RITHA Specialist (Radboud International Training on High Ability) and coach-in-training (ICM), I support others who also think deeply, feel intensely, and seek meaningful ways to live and work.
I work with:
-
Gifted and twice-exceptional adults
-
High-performing professionals who feel stuck or out of place
-
People in transition — between careers, life phases, or personal identities
My coaching style is warm, reflective, and structured. I combine research-based insights with lived experience and intuitive listening. You do not need to tone down your intensity or explain your complexity here — it is welcome.
If this resonates, you are not alone — and I would be glad to walk alongside you for part of the way.
